We have been coming to St. Keverne for several years now and discovered The Greenhouse a while back. We love it, apart from the fact we can walk to it and back from where we stay, it has to be one of the best on the Lizard, for its amazing food, friendly atmosphere and creative ideas. We always go out of season, so get the opportunity to enjoy the 'fish and chip/seafood' and 'curry' nights, which are a fabulous idea and soooooo good. I don't eat fish and chips anywhere else but there as nowhere compares! The a la carte food is also too good to be true, so innovative, delicious and good size portions. It is lovely to see Leonie so calmly cooking for everyone to see and Neil is so communicative despite he's frequently rushed off his feet. It's always a joy to arrive back in St. Kev and head straight for their door, they always remember us and welcome us warmly. What more can you say?? See you soon.

The best local restaurant I've ever eaten in- the food was stellar, but the restaurant's ambience and St. Keverne added to the 'spectacularity' of the entire affair. I tried some seafood soup- and on my first night and at first bite, it seemed so bland- but I put sme of the lemon graciously accompanying my plate onto the soup, and that made ALL the difference. It was the MOST memorable, fresh, new, authentically locally produced and GOOD soup I've ever had. (I'm 40!) I ate at this restaurant every night that I was in St. Keverne and had that very same soup every night back in May of 2008. I'll be back to St Keverne in 2010 and asked my Bed and Breakfast if your restaurant is still there....so GLAD your restaurant is still there.....

In Oct 2009, 7 hungry scuba divers enjoyed a lovely meal! The delicious food arrived hot (very good for such a large number of diners) and prompt :) The range of dishes was superb! Very good menu and extremely reasonably priced. We\'ll be back! A Lovely couple.

Stuart and I found The Greenhouse, enjoyed a wonderful evening and returned for more four days later. If we could have prolonged our stay in Cornwall we would definitely have been back again. The food is so fresh and interesting while not being over-priced. Every single item, from the homemade bread to the real, fat chips, was mouth-wateringly excellent. The service was true service with a smile and the atmosphere was relaxed and cosy. We will return - with friends in tow!

This was our first visit to The Greenhouse, (16th Oct 2009) after a recommendation and we both found the food to be superb and the owners very pleasant. We hope to be back down to the area again for our holidays next year and we will definitely be back. Many thanks for an enjoyable meal. Heartily recommend the “Pork Belly” and “Crab Florentine”!

Saturday 3rd October 2009 meal. Sarah started with mussels (truly amazing) followed by slow roast belly pork with Teryaki sauce. It has to be said I have not stopped waxing lyrical about the pork! Phil had sardines followed by beef in red wine suet pudd! Absolutely fantastic! The cardamon and cinnamon is must to try! Thank you so much for a truly amazing gastronomic experience. A perfect end to our lovely holiday in Coverack. Phil and Sarah (Lewis) xx

My family and I first ate here when the restaurant was newly opened. We came back this year and were delighted to see it is still serving great food. Neil and Leonie coped well with my dairy allergy and we enjoyed two wonderful evenings of great food and a lovely relaxed atmosphere. Definitely a restaurant not to be missed. We look forward to visiting again next time we holiday in the area.

Visited\" The Greenhouse\"recently and have to say after sampling many restaurants world wide this easy going little gem is a restaurant in a million!

The menu was diverse and our dishes delicious.Sardines(pilchards in Cornwall of course)simple green salad, mussels in cider, pavlova and treacle tart took on a whole new taste experience served in such a friendly and welcoming way by Neil.

It was a delight to watch Leonie calmly cooking with such enjoyment for the restaurant and fish and chip night too!

Thank you both for a lovely night and obviously we\'ll be back when next in the area.

We have visited the Greenhouse during our annual summer holiday to Cornwall every year since it opened, and we have enjoyed fantastic meals and lovely service every time. Our children (7 & 10) particularly enjoyed the slow roast belly pork and amazing banana and chocolate pavlova this year ! The restaurant is so welcoming for children, and it's so unusual to find somewhere that will provide the same good quality meals as for the adults, but in children's portions. The prices are very reasonable, and we always look forward to visiting each time we're in Cornwall. It's a simple concept - organic, fresh, local food - but beautifully and thoughtfully executed - thank you !

We had a wonderful Sunday lunch with our children, that exceeded our expectations the food was delicious and we managed to squeeze in most of the amazing puddings between the five of us!
we returned on a Thursday evening and had some georgeous sardines and an a wonderful goan curry.
We loved the restaurant food and warm welcome, it ticked all the boxes, homemade bread, fantastic fresh well seasoned produce.... and Leone and Neil made us as a whole family feel special.
It is understandably popular so make sure you book, oh and don't eat anything before you go so you can manage 3 courses.

We dined at the Greenhouse twice during our week long holiday in St Keverne last week – the food, wine and service is excellent and the cosy atmosphere delightful. We enjoyed a selection of fresh homemade bread, sardines, red mullet, venison curry, pork belly and an amazing peanut butter & chilli ice cream – what a treat!! What’s particularly good is that children are welcome in the restaurant – my 10 year old son loved the fish & chips and homemade ice cream. Having dined in some top restaurants in London it’s great to find a gem of a restaurant like the Greenhouse where the food is equally as good if not better – top marks to Neil and Leonie. We plan on coming back to this area of Cornwall again and will certainly make sure we are booked into the Greenhouse for dinner…and most likely more than once!!

We stayed in St Keverne for ten days and came to The Greenhouse twice for dinner. It was excellent food for both visits, with a warm welcome. We tried different dishes like rabbit with potatoes with a wonderful sauce and some vegetable, or salad with cheese. It is an absolute recommendable place to go for for good food at reasonable prizes! The menue is always interesting.
And it is interesting and quite unusual to be free to have a look into the kitchen, which I think is run with much care for the food! And it was always nice to talk to Neil who did a very good "service" and gave good advice. especially regarding the beer! But don´t forget Leonie the cook! She is an excellent cook, and you taste that she is doing that simply for a living; I believe she really loves to give people the best she can do! We will be back!!

Fantastic fresh fish, delicious bread, amazing peanut butter and chilli ice-cream which was cold, smooth, creamy and hot all at the same time. Lovely friendly relaxed atmosphere. I just wish we had anywhere as good and reasonable near us in Gloucestershire.

From: Alan Davies (Sat 11th Jul 2009 at 17:17)
We had two great meals here last week on Tuesday and Thursday, we had a Goan fish curry and a pork belly roast and a traditional fish and chips, and loved everything about the restaurant and the food, worth travelling for and the Chilli and Peanut Butter home made icecream which is a must, but have a scoop of something cooler with it, best ice cream in Cornwall. This is a place we will revisit.

The Greenhouse gives you great quality local ingredients which are very well prepared and simply presented. The surroundings are relaxed, the welcome warm and the prices more than reasonable – so it ticks all my boxes for a great restaurant. They also have a well chosen wine list and serve great local beers. We have become regulars – as much as an annual holiday in Cornwall permits – and recommend The Greenhouse to anyone we know who is going to the area. Friends have done exactly what we did the first time, eaten there and immediately booked to go back before the end of the trip, which is a recommendation in itself.

We have only visited The Greenhouse for Sunday lunch but on both occasions the food was truly delicious. Next stop fish and chip night! Thank you Leonie for the wonderful food and Neil your hosting skills are second to none! Paul and Donna

We had a delicious vegetarian meal(wild mushroom salad/cheese tart)
last week in the Greenhouse. Fresh local indegrients. Very good cook and delicious bread. The best meal we had on our south-west coastpath walking holiday.

Simply fantastic! Very friendly and accommodating, since we arrived before opening and although they were fully booked, managed to squeeze us in and we were thankful that they did. The food was amazing, the fresh crab was to die for and gave us a lovely holiday memory to take home. We would not hesitate to recommend the restaurant and we will definitely be back again next time we visit. Thank you

From: Rona (Wed 13th May 2009 at 20:38)
A great menu, cooked brilliantly, served in a relaxed environment by friendly owners - and accompanied by a great selection of wines & beers - and at a very reasonable price. TOP MARKS!!! We had a truly lovely evening and will definitely be back! We're already telling our friends too.

We visited St Keverne 3 years ago whilst on holiday and discovered The Greenhouse. It was so good, we planned this year's holiday around it and ate there 5 days out of 7 (they were closed the other 2 days!). We call it "The Greenhouse experience". The food is absolutely wonderful - Leonie's beef dripping roast potatoes are to die for! Neil and Leonie are a lovely couple - nothing is too much trouble - and we will certainly be back for more as soon as we can make it.

From: Emma and Steven (Sun 15th Mar 2009 at 20:44)
We had a lovely meal in The Greenhouse Organic Restaurant last week. It was fish and chip night - a large, beautifully cooked piece of fish in light and crispy batter, wonderful chips which were crispy and perfectly cooked and the most delicious home made tartare sauce. We managed to squeeze in pudding too - beautiful home made profiteroles and a delicious tart tatin. All in all, a wonderfully unpretentious restaurant, delicious food, and friendly hosts.

We plan to return when we are back in Cornwall.

Me and my partner ate here twice in our one week stay in Cornwall last summer and we're trying to plan our next trip somewhere near by so we can come to the restaurant. I think it's one of the best restaurants I've ever been in - the food is fresh, unpretentious, sourced locally, generous and delicious. The restaurant itself has a lovely atmosphere -romantic and relaxed and the owners are delightful. Have the pork belly!! It's amazing!

From: Brigitte and Anthony (Sat 24th Jan 2009 at 13:38)
Great unpretentious cooking making good use of local produce. Short but varied menu with something for everyone. Best food on our UK visit last August. Why aren't there more restaurants like this in the vastly overpriced and overrated UK 'eating landscape'?

From: Julie and Neil Whitford (Sat 3rd Jan 2009 at 17:31)
Having just moved into the area mid-Nov 08, we decided to try out The Greenhouse. We have also purchased a self catering holiday cottage in St.Keverne and thought it a good idea to try out the restaurant not just for us but also to tell our \'cottage\' visitors. We were so impressed with our first visit in Nov and have since returned for my birthday celebration, the weekly Thursday \'curry nights\' and the fish and chip takeaways. Dec 16th we booked a table for 9 and again we were not disappointed.

We always come to The Greenhouse when we visit my parents in St. Keverne. It's a wonderful place for a special occasion and the inventive menu is fun to read. We'll be back!

We had a great evening at the Greenhouse, the food, service and hospitality were all first-rate. Sadly we visited on our last night, we have used this as an excuse to come back next year! Many thanks to Neil and Leonie for making us feel so welcome

From: Mel and Luke (Tue 11th Nov 2008 at 14:25)
Was fortunate enough to eat at the first of the curry nights throughout November. We were delighted with the menu and food and amazed at how this was all provided for such a reasonable price. The lamb curry was delicious. Have already booked to go again.

We have tried most of the restaurants in the area and this is by far the best. Food is always wonderful and the service from Neil is exceptional. Do order the pork belly - it is to die for ! Taster plate of desserts was memorable.

For days after dining at your restaurant my imagination conjures up memories of that delicious aroma that greets us whenever we walk through the door. We know it won't be long before we return. Many, many thanks Leonie and Neil.

My wife and I ate at the Greenhouse on 18th Sept., it was so good we were back on the 19th. Excellent quality food cooked to a very high standard with out the usual 'gastro' pretensions. A must visit!

From: Mick and Penny Bearcroft (Thu 18th Sep 2008 at 10:57)
Mick and I enjoyed the whole experience of this restaurant on Tuesday 9 September so we went again on Thursday 11 September. The welcome, food, service and atmosphere were all second to none! We hope to see you again next year.

From: Sasha & Robin Jackson (Wed 10th Sep 2008 at 14:41)
We ate here with our two children aged 10 and 7 on 04/09/08 and could find no fault! The cooking, service, ambience and prices were superb. Excellent produce, cooked simply and well - no complicated or overly elaborate techniques, the food was able to truly shine. I recommend that you book in advance and do not visit the region without visiting the Greenhouse - I only wish we lived closer!

From: Simon and Colette (Sun 31st Aug 2008 at 13:44)
Along with our two children, both under ten, we ate here on Thursday 28th August and I can't recommend the place highly enough. We eat out quite often, but rarely found service, quality of ingredients, cooking and value which we encountered at the Greenhouse. Basically superb.

From: Adrian & Emma (Wed 27th Aug 2008 at 18:16)
We have been coming to this part of Cornwall for over ten years and remember the restuarant when it was Poppys. But out of all the local restuarants The Greenhouse is outstanding both in its food and service. If you are a great lover of ethnic food you must try the onion bhaji's they're to die for.

Will see you again in November, keep up the good work.

From: Jane & Simon (Thu 21st Aug 2008 at 17:16)
We booked for Sunday Lunch on 10th August (our 2nd visit) with our slightly built 13 year old son and 14 year old daughter. Every scrap of their mussels, venison, beef and cod disappeared which has to be the best advertisement! They couldn't resist puddings either! Seriously good ingredients, combinations, cooking and service - thank you!

From: Chris and Charlotte (Sun 17th Aug 2008 at 11:01)
We dined at The Greenhouse initially because we were staying just outside St Keverne and didn't want to travel too far - and our B&B hosts recommended it. We were so impressed we ended up eating there three times over the next few days! It really was a pleasure to find such a charming restaurant serving such high quality food - all at reasonable prices! Highly recommended - well worth the trip to St Keverne, wherever you are coming from!

From: Peter & Anne - Northampton (Tue 12th Aug 2008 at 10:58)
Visited 2nd August 2008. Really fresh ingredients and complementary flavours make the food here both delicious and interesting. The menu is small and unpretentious and cooked and served by the calmest, most efficient and friendly team in a kitchen open for all to see. We very much hope we'll be able to visit again.

From: Chris Day (Sun 10th Aug 2008 at 20:26)
We visited Greenhouse on the last night of a very wet week on The Lizard. Despite being fully booked Neil & Leonie found us a 9 o clock table for 2. This is a lovely, unpretentious, high quality restaurant which should be a must on any holidays schedule. The veggie & fish choices are excellent, and the house red is exceptional. Highly recommended. Go, enjoy and spread the word. The music was really cool as well although very much background.

From: Graham Lay (Sat 19th Jul 2008 at 23:21)
We stumbled across the Greenhouse quite by chance, just looking for somehwere to eat and instead were treated to an absolutely outstanding meal.
Everything was cooked to perfection and brought out the quality of the ingedients with some really interesting flavours.
In addition they coped with our mixed dietary requirements (wheat free) and our youngest son's preference for simple food.
And lastly, you couldn't have friendlier, more obliging service anywhere.
I'd recommend this restaurant to anyone.

From: Jo (Thu 17th Jul 2008 at 16:11)
This is one in a million place to eat! Great food from a wonderful choice on the menu - the fish was beautifully cooked and the vegetarian food amazing, all piping hot and really very delicious. Great wine, friendly service and a lovely restaurant. What more can I say? Can't wait to come and see you again soon. Thank you.
